Picture Frame and Birthday Card...

Today I am sharing a picture frame and birthday card that my husband asked me to make for a daughter of one of his school counselors.  She's turning 1 and I thought this would be super cute.  I already had my picture frame on hand and I already liked the color of it.  So I didn't add any paper or paint to it the frame.  I think it turned out super cute!!!

I used CTMH card stock for the butterfly and flowers.  I used Once Upon A Princess Cricut cartridge for the butterfly and "precious."  I used Accent Essentials for the flowers.  I feel really bad, but I can't remember what cartridge I used for her name.  I thought I had saved it, but didn't.  Oops!  The butterfly was cut at 4" and the flowers were cut at 1.5".  I used brown vinyl to cut out the body of the butterfly, "precious" (4" in width), and her name (1.5" in height).  I used Yellow stickles for the center of the flowers and Crystal stickles for the butterfly.

I really hope the mama likes it!
(sorry about the shadow.  the sun was shining through the window and i didn't have time to play with it before work this morning.)

The birthday card was my own idea.  The hubby didn't ask me to do it, but who gives a present without a card???  Weird, right?  Well...I think it's weird.  Hehe!

I used CTMH Mayberry paper pack.  It's one of their new additions.  I love the colors!  My card is 4.25"x5.5".  I used CTMH Nursary Bash stamp set.  I colored using CTMH markers in Hollyhock, Olive, Honey, Crystal Blue and Black.  I used CTMH Olive and Cocoa ink.  The embossing was done with Cuttlebug folder Seeing Spots and the ribbon is from ebay.

First Easel Card...

Hello all!  I hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable day!  I had a decent day today.  I've been having some sinus/allergy issues lately.  Yesterday was a rough one.  I had a bad sinus headache that was also causing me to feel nauseous.  Was a rough day for me.  Today I have a slight headache, but it wasn't anything like it was yesterday.  Not a 100%, but I'm better.

I made this card the day before yesterday and wanted to get it posted for you guys.  It's my very first easel card....so don't judge too harshly.  I've had this paper for a while and I've been wanting to use it.  I just wasn't sure how to use it.  It's  not super girly, but it is super cute.  It's from Cosmo Cricket collection called Nutmeg.  So super cute!  The image is part of the paper itself and just happened to fit perfectly with the saying I wanted to use from My Creative Time: Mom You Rock stamp set for "Behind every great child is a great mom."  I also used Pink By Design stamp set, Our Mothers for "I love you Mom."  The lace is something my grandmother donated to my collection for scrapbooking material.  Ink is CTMH Barn Red (and fit perfectly, i might add).  The brads are CTMH Twilight.  The ribbon is hard to see, but I placed it behind the image and I got it off ebay.

Have a wonderful day and I hope you enjoy!

Sunshine Card for Challenge...

Hello everyone!  I am so terribly sorry that I haven't posted anything in weeks!!!  My life has gotten a little bit nuts over the past few weeks.  I'm trying to make some big moves at work, so I've been making myself available as much as possible to them.  Which means uber craziness in my schedule!!!  My hubby has also been super busy with work lately, so I haven't been able to spend much time with him.  So that means when he's home, I don't craft.  This weekend he'll be busy with work, so that leaves me some free time to relax and do my thang!  Hehe!  My craft room has gotten a nice cleaning and reorganizing, so I feel a bit more refreshed to get into the groove.  I feel when it's too cluttered, it makes me not want to be in here.

So with all that done....I have made my first card in like 3 weeks!!!  Since it's nasty weather out here (i'm talking tornado watches and all) I have decided to make a sunshine card to kinda wish it out of the clouds!!!  This card is being intered into the Peachy Keen Let's Face It Friday Challenge, the Paper Play Time Weather Challenge and the Paper Craft Planet Sketch Challenge

My mother was my inspiration for this challenge.  She used to sing the "You are my sunshine" song to us all the time when we were little.  It's makes me smile to think about it!!!
