Elegant Mother's Day Card...

Hello!  Today I have a lovely Mother's day card to share with you.  This one isn't being entered into any challenges.  I love this card!  It is on the small side at 4.25" tall, but it still has a lot of room to write on the inside!  The color is actually a light blue, but it looks kinda lavender in the picture.....I need to get my light box built already!  I'm a horrible procrastinator!  :(  Need to work on that!

Cartridge - Wild Card
Card Stock - CTMH
Pattern Paper - October Afternoon "Fruit Stand"
Ribbon - Dollar store
Stamp - My Creative Time "Mom You Rock"
Pearls - CTMH

I hope you all enjoy and have a fabulous evening!  :)

Colorful Mother's Day Card...

Hey, hey, hey!!!  Today I have this lovely  Mother's day card that I wanted to share.  This is being submitted into the FCCB Color Challenge.  I really love how it turned out and was quite surprised at myself.  It's been a while since I have done any cards.  I needed a break from life and now I'm back w/ mojo flowing!  :)

The challenge was to use purple, turquoise and green in the project.  I just used all three colors and went bold!  These are some of my mom's favorite colors, so this card will be going to her!  I used Wild Card cartridge for the argyle design.  I love argyle!!!

The stamp set is from Emma from My Creative Time.   It's called "Mom You Rock."  I bought this last year and used it a few times.  I love her stamps!  The sparkles are, of course, stickles!  :)  All the card stock comes from CTMH.
The paper flowers and butterfly are from Close To My Heart.  I inked them with matching CTMH ink in Dutch Blue, Green Garden and Hydrangea.  The awesome purple polka dot button comes from Purple Pumpkin.  This button is a size large and measures about 1"...maybe slightly over.  This size or smaller is perfect for cards.  When I first bought from them I didn't know the difference.  I purchased mostly XL buttons.  I haven't used any of those yet, bc I'm unsure how to fit them onto cards.  Those buttons are about 1.5".  I think those buttons were made for scrapbook pages.  But we'll see.....
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed!  :)  Have a great day!!!

Manly V-Day Card...

I know I've completely been slacking and I'm sorry to those who like my blog.  Life has just REALLY gotten in my way lately and things have just been beyond crazy for me!  Without turning this into a "vent blog," I am  just going to say that there have just been some MAJOR ups and downs and I have not been myself.  However, with the new year, I have decided to make some changes for myself and fix things that I don't like and do a lot more of what I love!  This involves getting my weight back to where I want it and be more healthy and also doing a lot more crafting to keep my sanity!  I started off with the weightloss and got myself prepared for that and even joined a challenge.  So now for my "more crafting"......

I have made my first Valentines Day card for the year.  It is being entered into the CPS Challenge #251.  I'm excited to get re-started and happy to share this manly card with you....

~Timepiece Paper Pack from BoBunny
~Pink by Design My Type Stamp Set
~CTMH Key Moments Stamp Set
~CTMH Ink - Brown Bag & Cocoa
~Gold-ish color ribbon from Dollar Tree

And there you have it, friends....My first card of 2012!

I hope you enjoy and stay blessed!

Just Some Stuff...

These are some various projects that I have been working on...Other then Christmas cards.

This card is something that I saw on a MPS blog post.  It's called a "spring card" because it "springs" up when it's taken out of the envelope.  It was really simple to make and I've been dying to use this paper by Basic Grey.  I use MPS Fabulous Phrases stamp set..."Sending you lots of love."  I'm giving it to my aunt who is recovering from surgery.

This is an ornament that I recently made.  It's for the Pink By Design ornament swap.  It's not the best, but every idea that I had kept getting jacked up or wouldn't work out.  I was trying to do a sort of snow glob effect, but it didn't quite work out.  Maybe next time...

These are some gift boxes that I made using Tags, Bags, Boxes and More cartridge.  This was one of the first cartridges that I purchased, but hardly used it.  This first one I am giving to my sister with her birthday present in it.  She loves elephants and I bought her a handmade elephant pendant.  The other one is probably going on etsy.  :)

This box held some goodies for a friend of mine.  She watched my dog for the day and overnight.  She loved it!

I just wanted to show some of the other things that I have been working on.  I will probably have plenty more Christmas cards posted soon, but for now....EVERYONE HAVE A GREAT THANKSGIVING!!!
