Cricut Cardz Challenge #67...

Today I have a card for you that I am entering into the Cricut Cardz Challenge #67. I actually made this card a few days ago, but have been having computer issues.  I finally got my computer fixed on Friday morning and have spent most of the weekend reloading all the necessary programs.  They had to replace my hard drive and I am hoping that I can salvage my pics from the last one.  I have most of them backed up, but I know I didn't get them all.

Anyway....Here is my Mother's day card made with pink, green and white...as per the challenge....So sorry that the pic quality isn't all that great.  Something is now wrong with my DSLR....it just stopped focusing and won't snap pics.  So now I also have to have that checked out!

Cartridge: Mother's Day 2010
Card Stock: CTMH - Garden Green, Blush and White
Cuttlebug: Distressed Stripes
Ink: CTMH - Black
Brads: CTMH - White, New England Ivy, Blush
Pattern Paper: October Afternoon - Daydream: Rain Boots & Freshly Mown Lawn

Tag: 3" in height with back layer cut at 3.5" in height. Stamp is from My Creative Time: Mom You Rock stamp set.

Bunny Birthday Card...

I hope everyone is having a wonderful, relaxing weekend!
Today was a beautiful day out here in NC.  The hubby and I, along with the pup, went out and took about a 4 mile walk around a swamp.  I'm not so sure it was actually a swamp, but that's what they call it.  When I think of swamp, I'm thinking gross and smelly.  This was actually kinda pretty and I should have brought my camera to take pics, but didn't.  I did get some pics on my cell though.  Anyway...then we went and picked up some lunch, came home to eat, and then started a movie, which my husband slept through and I was in and out.  It was a nice Saturday!

Today I decided to join in with the Flaunt It Fridays Birthday Bash Blog Hop and Challenge. If you want to join in the fun, you have through Sunday.  They have some sweet blog candy and a big prize.  The challenge was to use the bunny from the Birthday Bash Cartridge.  I don't have that cartridge, so I used the bunny from Create A Critter.
Here's what I came up with.....

The background paper is Nook&Pantry's Cupcakes paper.  Card stock is from SU and CTMH.  Ink is CTMH Chocolate.
The bunny is cut at 3.5" in height using my Gypsy.  The flower is cut at 3" in height using my Gypsy.  I used my Cuttlebug for embossing the circle, folder Traffic Jam.  I used Star Dust Stickles on the bunny's cheeks and Yellow Stickles for the flowers center.  The circle is cut at 4" in height.
I used My Pink Stamper Buggy Punnies stamp set for my saying.  Brads are CTMH.  I cut this tag from Once Upon a Princes at 1.5" in height using my Gypsy.
I think it turned out pretty cute and I hope you like it!!!  Have a fabulous weekend!!!

You're the Best...

Ok...One more card before I have to get serious!  :D
This one is for the Paper Craft Planet Sketch Challenge.  It didn't take me long to make, so I made 2.  I am trying to get some extra cards in for the package that I am sending out to Operation Write Home.  I have about 15 cards now.  I want to get started on Mother's day cards next.  I make tons of cards and then they just sit around my house...so now that I have a cause and somewhere to send them I wanna make more!!!  :D

For this card I used Crate Paper Mia Collection: Cherry Blossom.  I love the colors in this paper.  I wish I had tons more of it!!!  I also used CTMH buttons combined with Making Memories buttons.  The stamp set I used is called Thank You from CTMH.  The string is something I got in Japan at the dollar store...I'm sure you can get it at WalMart.

S&S Sketch Challenge...

Good afternoon!  Today is a busy day for me.  We just had our storage shipment delivered and now I get the super "fun" task of opening all the boxes and sorting through all of it.  I don't even know what's in half the boxes.  So I will be making a lot of trips to the thrift store soon!  If I lived without it for 2.5 years, I'm sure I don't need it!  Right?  Except a few things...

Anywho...I just wanted to post a card that I made last night.  I took the pics of it this morning though.  So that's why they're so dark.  I don't have a light in my office.  Just desk lamps.  I am putting this card in the S&S Sketch Challenge.

Paper: CTMH Bella
Ink: CTMH - Hollyhock, Olive, Smokey Plum
Button: CTMH
Stamp: CTMH Holiday Hoopla

Hey ya'll!  Hope you guys are having an awesome Saturday!  Mines been a little rough.  I didn't get much sleep last night and woke up with a bad headache.  I think it's just my allergies + lack of sleep.  After taking some meds, the headache has subsided some...but I still feel lil icky.  I did get my hubby's project done and this one card.  LoL!  I'm working on some more cards, but I may not get those posted today.

Project for my Hubby...

I just wanted to share a project that I have just completed for my hubby.  I told him I was going to do this for him a few weeks ago.  I did start it then, but I wasn't 100 % sure how I wanted to do it.  So I started playing around with it and finished it today.  It's a shadow box for his office filled with Marine Corps stuff.  I put in some of his patches that he got and a few of his Marine Corps challenge coins.  Then around the frame, I used vinyl and cut out the places he has been since he's been in (well most of them).  I used Robotz cartridge for the font.  I think it turned out really nice!  He'll get it today...I just hope he likes it!

Happy Easter Card...

Hello all!  Hope everyone is having a good Friday!  I made a card to post yesterday, but my laptop crapped out on me.  I don't even know what happened.  It's only 2 years old...granted I had problems early on with it anyway.  I'm back to using my old laptop until I can get the other one fixed.  I don't even know how old this one is....I guess it's about 4-5 years old.  I had it about 2-3 years before I got the new one.  Anywho...

So I'm just going to jump right in there and post my card.  I made it for the Cricut Cardz Challenge #65 ... make a 9"x4" card.  I really like the way this card turned out.  It's fun and cute!!!

~Cartridge: Stretch Your Imagination - Bunny w/ eggs 8.5" in height.  "Happy Easter" tag - 1.18" in height.
~Paper: CTMH Best Friends Forever paper pack.
~Stamp: CTMH Holiday Hoopla - "Happy Easter" & Peachy Keen Stamp Funshine Face Parts - Bunny's eye
~Ink: CTMH ink - Twilight, Garden Green, Goldrush and Hollyhock
~Brads: CTMH - Twilight, Garden Green and Hollyhock
~Stickles: Pink
~Ribbon: CTMH Ribbon Rounds - Twilight
~Embossing: Cuttle Bug folders - D'Vine Swirl and Swiss Dots

For the orange paper in background...to get that crinkled effect, I wet the paper, crumpled it, then smoothed it out and let it air dry on the table.  Then I sponged Goldrush ink onto it.
Like my pink stickles?  For the bunny's tail I used CTMH white daisy Sassy Strands.
The blue eggs I used the Swiss Dots folder in my cuttle bug then put stickles over it.
I inked my swirls just slightly with Hollyhock ink to help it stand out more.
Inside of card I stamped some eggs.

Spring Chick Card...

Good afternoon...early evening....folks!  Hope everyone had a wonderful day!!!  Despite getting up at 6am this morning (which is not the norm for me), I am in an awesome mood!  Tired...but doing well!  I am opening for a co-worker tomorrow and have to be up at 530am (YIKES!) to be at work by 630am....good part about that is I get off at 12pm.  So I'll have an early day and can take a nap if needed.

Today I have for you a Spring/Easter card.  I have decided that I am going to create at least 2 cards at a time.  I am trying to get cards in for OWH (operation write home).  My deadline is the 18th, but I have to ship by like Monday/Tuesday to get them in on time.  I was going to do Valentines Cards for them and missed the deadline.

Cricut Cardz Challenge...

Ok...Last post for the day....maayyyybe....Hehe!  I couldn't resist doing this last challenge, bc I LOVE LOVE LOVE to read.  So this post is for the Cricut Cardz challenge #64....BOOKMARK challenge.  I just had to do this challenge!  I started getting a HUGE collection of books.  The ones that I absolutely love, I refuse to get rid of.  So my hubby finally broke down and got me a Barnes and Noble Nook about a year ago (maybe a lil less).  I LOVE that thing!  I read entirely too much, but I just love to get lost in books.  Especially if I'm stressed out....But anyway....onto my project.....

These lil guys were cut out using Create A Critter Cartridge and they are 6.5" in height.  I haven't done so yet, but I am going to laminate them so they won't wear out as fast.
As you can clearly see...I did, in fact, use stickles.  I found that the letters blended a little too much and this helped them stick out more.  I think they turned out really cute and I'm happy with them.  I think I'm going to give the purple one to my mother.  She loves purple.  I had my sister in mind for the neon green, but I'm not actually sure that she reads.  Haha!  So I may just hang on to him.  :D

BBTB2 Blog Hop Project...

I made a second card today!  WOOHOO!  Told ya'll it was a lazy Saturday for me.  So, while I was waiting on my first card to dry (so I could take good pics), I started on a second card and challenge.  I decided to join in on the BBTB2 blog hop fun!  Here is my card.....

I actually didn't use stickles on this card.  I used Crate Paper's Prudence Collection called Discretion.  The paper and die cuts came with glitter already on it.  So I didn't need to add to it.  Can you believe it?  Hehe!  The ink is CTMH.  "HOPE" is from a CTMH letters stamp set.  The inside of the card is a SU stamp set called Friend to Friend.  It says "Hope is the thing with feathers- That perches in the soul- And sings the tune without words- And never stops - at all."  -Emily Dickinson.  This is the first time I have actually used SU stamp sets.  A friend of mine gave them to me...who passes up free stuff???

I have one other project that I'm working on and will post either today or tomorrow....

Dance Like No One Is Watching...

Hello peeps!
Today is a lazy Saturday for me!  Don't feel like doing anything really....other then being creative of course :P  It's just me and the pup today.  Very quiet and lazy and I love it!!!

I've got a new card for you all today.  I am entering this card in the Flaunt It Fridays Challenge #14 and the PKS Let's Face It Friday Challenge #11.  For the Flaunt It Fridays challenge we had to use the Twinkle Toes Cartridge.  I don't have that cartridge, so I used Once Upon A Princess and used a similar cut.  For the PKS challenge we had to use PKS faces stamp and faux or real stitching.  I'm not good with the sewing machine yet, so I used faux stitching.

RECIPE:
~Cartridge: Once Upon A Princess - Dancer 3.5", word DANCE 1", and gem behind dancer 3.75" and 3.25" for layer.
~Paper - CTMH That's Amore paper packet.
~Ribbon - From department store.
~Stamp - Dancers face PKS Funshine Face Parts PK-943.
~Ink and Marker - CTMH black for face and CTMH Chocolate for hair and stitching.
~Inside reads "like no one is watching"
~Stickles - Star Dust
~CTMH Liquid glass -  letters

When I originally started writting this post, I didn't put stickles on it.  But then I just couldn't leave it with no sparkles...I just COULDN'T do it!!!  I had to have a little bit....right?  So I put some on the tutu and hair bows.  Just a little...  *big grin*
Liquid glass gives things a shine and kinda does look like glass.  It's a pretty cool product!

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge...

Goodmorning all!  I hope you have a fabulous day today!  Oddly enough, I'm in a good mood this morning, after not getting much sleep last night...BUT I am determined I'm going to have a good day!

I've been a busy girl getting all these cards done!  This is my 5th post already since Friday!  Can you tell that I feel better?  :D  I'm on a roll!  I told you guys that I would have tons of cards/projects for you!

This card is for the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #49.  I'm trying to get into more "springy" cards.  I got to go to Michael's this past weekend and got some paper and I've ordered some paper offline.  So I'm excited to use it!  I went with a flower shaped card cut at 5" and welded together using my Gypsy.

Paper: KI Memories - Classic Prints paper pad, CTMH white card stock, SU teal-ish card stock.
Cartridge: Gypsy Wanderings - Flower 5" & Smile 2" in height.
Ribbon: CTMH
Ink: CTMH Crystal Blue
Embossing: CTMH Clear
Stickles: Icicle, Cinnamon & Yellow

Notice...I used the "old fashioned" embossing technique.  LoL!
 My stickle-fied "smile" :D
I layered my flower with patterned paper directly on the card.  Then I used 3D tape to make the blue layer pop!
