Don't Worry Bee Happy...

Hello fellow crafters!  :)

I have been going through a rough time lately and trying to reevaluate some things.  Crafting is something that helps me to escape a little from the things that are stressing me out or making me worry.  When I made this card, I wasn't really thinking about anything.  Just trying to figure out the layout, colors to use and how everything was going to come together.  I knew I wanted to use a little bee, which is part of the requirement for the BBTB2 Challenge (use a lady bug or bee).  After I planned to use the bee, I picked out my background and made it myself, which was the requirement for the Peachy Keen Challenge #15 (make your own background).  I used Pink By Design "Cloudy Days" stamp and for the little bees, I used CTMH stamps.  The actual layout idea came from CPS Challenge #263.  Once I had all that figured out and laid out, I needed to pick a sentiment.  My first instinct is to always jump to either Pink by Design or My Pink Stamper stamps.  Then I remembered that I had Buggy Punnies from MPS!  The first one that hit me was "You're the bee's knees!"  However, after I got everything laid out I grabbed the stamp set and saw, "Don't worry bee happy!"  Once I put it all together, I just sat back and smiled!  Just kinda reminded me you've got to let go and let God!  Being the control freak that I am, I feel like I've got to control every single thing that happens in my life and I just need to be reminded that in all actuality....NOTHING is really in my control except for my mood and how I choose to live my life.  So I just want to tell you all "Don't worry about a thing, cause every little thing is gonna be alright!"  I hope you all have a very blessed day!  :)

Enjoy The Ride...

Hey y'all!  I have another card to share with you!  :)  This card will be entered into the FCCB Challenge Me Monday #108.  Their challenge was to use a car, bike, plane, train, etc on your project.  I chose to use a bike!  My stamp comes from Papertrey Ink called Everyday Button Bits.  I absolutely LOVE that stamp set!  I have only used 2 so far, but I cannot wait to use the rest!  They are so fun!!!
I am also entering this into the HSS Challenge #115.  This challenge was to make something for Spring.  You can't get more spring than pinks, yellows, flowers and bike rides!  :)

Other products I used were:
~CTMH - Paper, Ink (black) & Markers (Twilight, Black, Grey Flannel)
~Basic Grey - buttons
~Ribbon - to be honest, I don't remember where my ribbon came from.
~Cricut - circles cut at 3" and 3.25"

Oh!  I almost forgot!  I got my layout idea from OWH blog.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great day!

A Note For You...

Happy Saturday ya'll!  I just wanted to share a card with you right quick.  Made this last night & was just way too tired to post.  :)  I got this lovely paper at Michaels when they were doing a 7/$1 deal.  I'm pretty sure all of this is Recollections paper, including the cardstock.  The ribbon is from the Dollar tree.  The ink and stamp are from Close to my heart.  I used my Gypsy to cut out the music note using Gypsy Wanderings (2.25"h).  I used gold stickles to make it sparkle!

I am submitting this into the CPS Challenge #262.  I love that blog for when I get stuck on layouts!  :)

Hope you all have a fabulous weekend!!!

Quilted Birthday Card...

Hello my virtual friends!  :)
I have a birthday card to share with you all today!  I was checking my email...I  believe it was yesterday (Wednesday) and that led me to Operation Write Home's blog.  They were talking about using scraps to make cards and all these different techniques.  This particular card that I have made is not one of their techniques, but I found a  challenge that I wanted to enter.  Using scraps just seemed to fit in with what I was trying to accomplish!  I have a ginormous stack of scraps and really need to get rid of some of them.  So I will be using a lot of scraps on my future cards until that pile goes away!
The first challenge this is getting entered into is Mojo Monday Challenge #238.  Their challenge was the awesome layout!  I love this layout and it was pretty simple to do!

~A2 size card (4.25"x5.5")
~Scraps (pretty sure all or most are CTMH)
~Ink : CTMH - Black, Star Spangled Blue & Tulip (balloon strings)
~Ribbon (Dollar Tree)
~Buttons: Basic Grey
~3D tape - CTMH
~Liquid glass or glue (buttons & ribbon)
~Stamps: Papertrey Ink - Everyday Button Bits & Pink By Design - Birthday, Birthday stamp set "Happy Birthday" (inside)
~Cartridge: Accent Essentials - circle cut at 3"

I also just wanted to quickly share the graduation invites I made for someone.  I made 10 of these suckers.  I ended up not having enough of the background paper, so I made my own!

Thanks for stopping by!

Cards, Cards, & More Cards...

Hello!  I've been a busy lady!  :)  I have decided to participate in my towns farmers market this year.  So I am slaving away making as many cards as I possibly can before May 12.  If all goes well, I will be doing one once a month!  Everything sold either has to be handmade or home-grown!  It should be fun and I'm really excited about it!  A friend of mine came over and pretty much bought everything I made last year.  "Cleaning out my old stock" she called it.  So now I have to restock!  But I'm not complaining!  That's moolah in my pocket.

I have also joined up with Mary Kay.  I've been busy trying to get that started up!  If any of you are interested in Mary Kay and don't already have a consultant, I have a couple promotions going on and need participants to help me out.  If interested, please email me at lcollins26@marykay.com.  Just let me know that you read about me here on my blog!  :)

I have also decided that I am going to do the Color Run in September.  So today was my first official day doing the Couch to 5K training.  That kicked my butt, but it felt so good!  :)  I hate working out, but once I get started, I feel so much better.  I actually like running, which is weird.  I tried this program out with my friend in 2010.  I kept telling her, "There is NO way I am running with you."  Then I just tried it and loved it!  I think the only way to make sure that I am working out everyday is to sign up for this Color Run.  I have something to look forward to and I have to train or it just won't happen.

Anyway....on to my cards.  Since I have so many to share, I will just touch on a couple that I am intering into challenges and then I will just post pics of the rest.

This top card is a 5" round.  To be quite honest, I know that "Happy Mother's Day" came from the Mother's Day 2010 cartridge.  It's cut out at 3".  I think the circle came from Wild Card, but I'm not sure about the scallop circle in the middle.  I just typed in "scallop circle" in the search bar on my gypsy.  The larger one is 6" and the smaller one is 5.5".  The "xoxoxoxo" stamped around the edge comes from Peachy Keen Stamps - Valentine Sweets.  VERY cute stamp set and if you don't have it, you should!  The paper is DCWV All Occasions Glitter Stack.  This card is being entered into the Peachy Keen Anything Goes Challenge
This card is being entered into the CPS Challenge #261.  I LOVE this layout!!!!  I used CTMH Bella paper pack.  I just love these colors!  The stamp set is from Pink by Design "Our Mother's."  I used "A mother understands what a child does not say."  The ribbon is from WalMart.

These next 4 cards are the same card in a different post I made.  I just went back and decided to make a bunch of different colors.  I wanted to use my cool Purple Pumpkin buttons!  :)  Which I have recently ordered more of!  ;)

This card was made using CTMH Magic Moments paper pack, CTMH ink & CTMH brads.  The stamp set is from Raisin Boat called Strokes of Wisdom.  This stamp set is really nice and I love it!  I'm trying to decide if I want to keep it.  I'm gonna go broke using them!  The first two stamp sets I have tried, I love!  :)  The next card is also made using that stamp set!

If you made it all the way here, thanks for stickin with me!  I told you I've been busy!  :)  Thanks for stopping by!

Folder Card Set...

Good evening online friends!  It's kinda late, but I started working on this project around 5-ish and them my hubby came home.  I had to stop and we ate dinner and hung out for a bit and then I decided to come finish my project and now it's 1030pm and I am finally finished & sharing with you all!  :)

This project is going to be entered into the HSS Color Challenge #112.  Trying to work with these colors was actually a little tough, which was probably why it took me so long.  I love the colors, but finding the right ones to go with what I was doing was challenging.

~I used Sentimentals cartridge on my Gypsy to cut the folder out at 11.95" in width.
~Six A2 size cards and envelopes fit in the folder.

~The tag was cut out in 3 different layers at 4", 3.5" & 3" wide.  I used my cuttlebug and Darice embossing folder - Fleur Di Lis - on the 3" tag and inked it with Pansy Purple ink from CTMH.
~"With Love" was cut out at 2" in height.
~The pen was cut out at 5" in height.
~The ribbon is something I picked up in Japan.
~I used DCWV Glitter cardstock - Brights & Pastels - for the folder & tip of pen.
~I used CTMH Notebook collection & Heirloom collection.  The brown came from SU.  The black is from Walmart.

~The ink was cut out at 2.25" in height.
~"Yours Truely" was cut out at 2.5" wide.
~I used pattern paper from CTMH Notebook collection to cover the inside of this folder.

~I used regular A2 size envelopes and cut strips of pattern paper to cover the flaps of the envelopes.  (brown is SU, purple is CTMH Heirloom, pink is CTMH Notebook)

~The cards are A2 size cards (4.25"x5.5").
~I used my cuttlebug & scrollwork folder for embossing.
~I used CTMH ink - Cocoa, Smokey Plum & Blush - to add color and pop to the embossing.

Once I figure out who I want to give this too, I plan on doing a monogram inside the frame of the card.

I saw this idea on the Cricut blog.  I didn't even know there was a folder on that cartridge.  I hardly use it.  Now that I know it's there and all the cool things on there, I'll use it more often!

Thanks for looking and have a great day!  :)

Those We Love...

Good evening all!  I have another card that I wanted to post really quick like.  :)  I have 3 challenges that I wanted to enter this into.  One ends tomorrow morning, so I wanted to make sure I got it in there!  The first challenge is for Peachy Keen Faux Stitching Challenge.  The flower on my card, which was cut from the Cake Basics cartridge at 2", has the faux stitching.  The next challenge this is being entered into is the BBTB2 Flourish Challenge.  My flourishes came from the Cindy Loo cartridge and they were cut at 2" wide.  The 3rd challenge this is being entered into is the Cards TV: You've Been Framed Challenge #105.  My frame is actually around the entire card and is from the Sentimentals cartridge cut at 5" in height.

Other supplies used:
~Paper: CTMH - Grace
~Stamps: K. Andrew Designs - Sympathetic Sayings & Raisin Boat - Handle with Prayer (feet on inside of card)
~Ink: CTMH - Twilight & Cocoa
~Markers: White (faux stitching)
~Bling: Rhinestone from Walmart

A friend of mine has had two deaths in the family and she asked me to make her a couple cards.  This is one of those....

(^^^ sorry for this kinda crooked pic!  not been sleeping well so i took a sleeping pill and it's kicking in ^^^)

Thank you all so much for looking and commenting on my posts.  It makes me feel really good and also keeps me motiviated to keep creating!  I really do read every single one!  Hugs and God bless!

Handle with Prayer...

Good morning all!  I hope everyone's day is starting off well!  Mine didn't...woke up with a migraine, but I'm good now...well, headache gone, sicky feeling still there.  I'll be alright though!

I started working on this card last night and got a little frustrated, bc I couldn't figure out how I wanted it all to fit together.  I was dealing with some other stressful stuff as well, so I'm sure that had a little bit to do with it.  So, I layed it aside and decided to finish it this morning.  I'm glad I did, bc I love how it turned out!  I wanted to tell you a little bit about where I found the stamps.  It's from a company called Raisin Boat.  I'm not sure if you all have heard of them or not.  However, I like them, bc you can rent stamps from them...yes, I said RENT!  It's sort of like Netflix or Gamefly.  You make your pick list and they send them to you based on the amount you want to pay per month.  For instance, I decided to go for the trial and paid $5.99 and I am allowed to rent 2 sets.  If I like them I can by them for a discounted price (but they send you a brand new set, not a used one).  It's pretty cool!

The stamp set I used today is called Handle With Prayer.  I am not sure if I'll be purchasing this one or not.  It's really cute, but I'm not sure how much use I would actually get out of it.  Still considering though!  :)

I'm also entering this into the CPS Challenge #258.

Card size is 4.25x5
~Paper: CTMH - Caboodle
~Ink: CTMH - Chocolate & Sorbet
~Markers: CTMH - Sweet Leaf, Chocolate, Cocoa & Buttercup
~Sparkle: Stickles - Star Dust
~Ribbon: Walmart
~Embossing: Cuttlebug - Tiny Bubbles
~3D tape under circle
~ATG for adhesive

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Easter Buckets...

Good morning (1100am this this time, haha!)!  This past weekend, I got to go to Target.  I specifically wanted to go for their $1 bin!!!  I don't have a Target near where I live, so it's a big deal when I get to go!  Haha!  So I grabbed some of these adorable little buckets, a few toys, some eggs and some candy.  I also don't have any children of my own, so I get to spoil other peoples kids.  :)  I used my Cricut to cut out the kids names in vinyl and put them on the buckets.  I used Robotz font for the boys and Birthday Cakes font for the girls.  I used glittery vinyl on the girls buckets and tied on some ribbon to girly it up!  Three of them are going to friends kids and two to my niece and nephew.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great day!!!

Good (early as heck) morning!  It's 1:10am eastern time right now.  I couldn't sleep, so I decided to join in some challenges that I had picked out earlier this afternoon.  It amazes me how tired I am during the day and when it comes time to actually go to bed, I can't sleep.  Drives me nuts!

Anyway, the card I have to show is going to be entered into the Peachy Keen Colors Challenge #9 and the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #103 (use at least 3 flowers).  It definitely was a challege!

Mother ...

Hello, hello!
I have a lovely Mother's Day card to share with you guys this morning!  Weird to say "this morning,"  because usually my posts don't happen til late afternoon/evening.  I had another night of very little sleep.  I don't know what's wrong with me.  I didn't even have any caffine yesterday and still did not get any sleep til after 230am (when I went to bed) and got up at around 615am.  Had to take hubby to work so that I could have transportation for errands to day.  Sometimes it stinks to have to share a car....oh well.  Since I pretty much knew I wasn't going back to sleep, I just stayed up after dropping him off.  Works out I guess, bc I got to work on cards.  I usually make about 4-6 of the same card, bc I sell my cards and I also donate cards to Operation Write Home (see my right hand bar for more info!) - sending cards to military members so they can write home.  I'm hoping to have more done by the end of the day.  Right now they need Mother's day cards, mixed in with some random ones.  They're due by March 20th.  I don't have very many Mother's Day cards, so I'm trying my best!

Anyway...so here is what I did this morning....

Materials:
~4.25x5.5 inch card
~CTMH Paper Pack - Life Delights
~CTMH ink - Chocolate
~Making Memories Jumbo Blossoms w/ Pebble Brads
~CTMH Frames, Tags, Borders stamp set used for "MOTHER"
~Inside reads, "Happy Mother's Day to a Super Mom" - Mom You Rock stamp set from My Creative Time
~CTMH ric rac ribbon

I decided to take my pictures outside today and I loved the way they turned out!  I'll have to do that more often!  It was so windy and cold today though!

My little helper for today!  HAHA!  She kept jumping on my leg, so I picked her up and she crawled up on my shoulders and wedged her way behind me.  She's too cute sometimes!  :)

Monogram Notecards...

Sorry for no-post yesterday....I had a hard time sleeping the night before and quite literally got no sleep.  So I wasn't feeling up to doing anything yesterday!  I'm feeling more awake today, but I think I might be getting sick....but I digress....

Today I made these monogram cards that I am going to send to my grandmother....just 'cause.  :)  I am submitting them into the BBTB Monogram Challenge.

I used Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge for all the cuts.  I cut the card and the background pieces at 4".  I cut the letter at 2.5" and added some rhinestones for sparkle.  I used CTMH paper packet, Mayberry.  I think she'll really love them and they'll make her smile!

Thanks for looking and have a great day!
