CPS Card Sketch Challenge...

I made this card especially for the CPS Card Sketches Challenge #207.  I "found" some of my stamps.  I knew I had way more stamps then I was seeing and I found them hiding from me in my Christmas stamps bin.  This is a set that I haven't used until now.  I think it turned out pretty cute.

The card is 4.25"x5.5".  The paper is from Crate Paper Mia Collection - Water Lilies.  The stamp set is CTMH - Happy Forever for the Hedghogs and Make My Day for the Laugh out Loud.  Markers and ink are CTMHPansy Purple, Chocolate, and Desert Sand.  Hope you enjoy!

Blessings Card....

I know I have mentioned before that joined a weight loss challenge and stared January 4th.  I know being sick has had a little to do with this, but last Tuesday I did a self weigh-in and I had lost almost 20 lbs!!!  I gained couple pounds back since I can eat more then just crackers, but still I'm down about 18 lbs right now and I'm feeling pretty awesome about it!  My hubby and I have been talking about how my pants and stuff REALLY don't fit me anymore and so today I went to Old Navy and tried on one dress size lower, and THEY FIT!!!  I was texting everybody, I was so excited!  So I got to buy 2 new pairs of SMALLER size jeans today.  I don't want to get too much, bc I still have about 15 lbs to my first goal weight and about 20 more lbs til I hit my halfway mark.  At that point I get $500 to go shopping with!!!  When I lose my total weight, I get $1000.  I just wanted to share my excitement for the day.

I also have another card....Yes!  You heard me correctly...ANOTHER card!  LoL!  I'm pretty happy with it and the hubby seemed to like it too.

Cartridge: Cindy Loo - Tree 4" height, Deer 2" height, 'Blessings' 1.5" height.
Paper: CTMH, Scenic Route: Sonoma, and K-I Memories Classic Prints Paper Pad (from Michael's)
Ribbon: Got in Japan.
Stickles: Crystal and Black Diamond

Not sure if you can tell, but I used Black Diamond stickles in the deers eye to add a little "sparkle" to it.
And of course I added stickles to the tree.... I can't not use stickles...come on now!  :P
Hope you all had  fabulous weekend!  Have great Monday and stay safe!!!

On A Roll...

I spent a lot of my day today being lazy.  I think I deserve it after the past two weeks!  I'm feeling much much better....if only I could get rid of this stupid cough!!!  I played with my puppy most of the day and designed several cards today.  I actually made (well, 6 if you count the multiples) two of the cards that I designed....

This first one is just a cutsie card that I am entering in the Terrific Tuesday Challenge - Create A Critter with Scrappy Mom Stamps.  The challenge was to use Create A Critter cartridge.  That's it!  Simple enough!  This is what I came up with....

The card is 4.25"x5.5"
The cloud is cut at 2.5" in width.  The "smile" is cut at 2" in width.  The pattern paper is Scenic Route - Garden Grove and it is also what inspired the colors for the card.  The stickles is Waterfall.
The croc is cut at 4.5" in width and the bird is cut at 1" in height.  I used Scenic Route paper for the patterned paper.  The rest of the paper is a mix of CTMH and SU.  I used Crystal stickles on his spots.
This next card I made with my dad in mind.  He just had surgery done for a hernia.  Low and behold, I didn't even know he had surgery until he was out of it and my sister text me to let me know "he was ok."  But at that time I had no idea what she was talking about....Lord, my family needs to communicate better!!!

Anyway...This card is being entered in the CPS Card Sketches Challenge. The card is 4.25"x5.5".  All paper is from CTMH paper pack Guy Things.  Cartrige used is Just Because Cards.
The milk container is cut at 4". I used the water from CAC cartridge to get the "spilled milk" cut at 1.5" in width.  I used Icicle stickles to make it sparkle.
The phrase is cut at 2.5" in width.  The brads are CTMH and the ink is also CTMH Barn Red.
Have a fabulous weekend!!!

Sweet Tulips Card and Challenges....

I have a card for today!!!  YAY ME!!!  LoL!   I'm in a good mood today!  It's Friday and it's the weekend and I got off early.....well, I get of a 3pm everyday, but just sayin'!

So this card I kind had half done already.  I had printed off these flower, a digi-stamp.  I forget where I got it from, but I know it was a free one.  I'm not sure if I like the digi stamps or not yet.  I don't like coloring them with markers.  Well at least the CTMH markers.  I'm thinking of ordering the CTMH water color pencils and giving those a go.  We'll see.....

This card is being entered in the Peachy Keen Sketch Challenge 46 and also the Fantbulous Cricut Emboss It Challenge 48.

I'm giving this card to my grandmother.  I found out she just got out of the hospital  few days after I got sick, and of course no one told me.  I found out after she was out that she even went in.  So I just wanted to let her know I was thinking about her.

The card is 5"x5".  The folds are at 2-1/2" from each side so that the card opens in the middle.  Card stock is CTMH.  The stamp is CTMH A Little Thanks.  The ink is CTMH Amethyst & Petal.  The markers are CTMH Amethyst, Petal, Baby Pink, Blush, Tulip, Cranberry, Green Garden and Olive.  The ribbon is from WalMart.  I also used my cuttlebug for the embossed dots for the purple on the flaps.

Have a fabulous Friday!!!

Gettin' Better....

Aww!!  You guys make me feel so loved!  Checkin' up on me and all your kind wishes to get better!  Means a lot to me that ppl I have never even met wish me well!

Well....I am feeling better!  Not 100%, but I have gone back to work and coughing is the only thing left to get rid of!!!  Now I'm playing catch up to get my house back in order...which kinda stinks, but I'm just doing a little at a time!

Since I don't have a card to share I have decided to share a project I did for my hubby for Valentines day.  It's the first time I've used the etching cream, but I LOVE it and now I want to make so much more!!!  I've already got plans for Mother's day and Father's day!

But here's what I did.....

I etched a beer mug!  LoL!  I unfortunately don't remember what cartridge I used for the font or design.  But I did use vinyl for the template.  I also know that  should have left the cream on longer then 10 minutes bc the mug is pretty thick!  But it was my first time and I like the way it looks and my hubby was pleasantly surprised too!  I got the mug at one of the dollar stores and they had tons of glasses of all sorts.  So, I think I'm going back to get more and have a blast!!!

STILL sick!!!

My hubby had to take me to the ER on Thursday evening, bc I was hurting fairly badly in my stomach and had a temp of 101.1 by the time he was ready to take me.  Turns out I just have the flu, but I have been battling it for 2 weeks.  I've been down and out for the past two days!  I can get up for spurts of about 10 minutes and then I have to go lay back down.  I have also developed this cough and I can feel junk in my chest.  When I cough, it kills my head, chest and my throat.  I had planned on making cards all weekend, but I have traded that notion in for sleeping all weekend!  Sorry friends!  I promise that once I feel better I'll have tons of awesome projects to share!!!

Pinkalicious Blog Hop Challenge...

Look at me go!  Two posts in 1 day.  Hehe!  Weeeellll....This one is for the My Pink Stamper Pinkalicious Blog Hop ChallengeHere is the challenge: Use Black and your favorite color or colors.  My favorite color is pink!  But I also wanted to incorporate other colors for this cutsie fish bowl card.

I used BLACK as my card base, in the stitching, for the fish shadow, and in the phrase.  I made a PINK fish and used PINK ribbon.  I used two different BLUES for the bowl and the water. Then GREEN and BROWN for the accessories.

~Cartridge: Create A Critter
I used my Gypsy to weld the fish bowl shape into a card with the fold at the top.  The card is cut out at 5" in width.  The fish is 1.5".
~Cardstock: CTMH
~Ribbon: I got in the mail just today from my aunt.

To get the glassy water effect, I used a clear plastic gift baggie.  I used my Cricut to actually cut it out in the same shape as the darker blue.  I used low pressure and set my blade to 4 and it worked perfectly.  Then I just glued the edges and left the top open.
I used My Pink Stamper's Even More Punny-licious stamp set...."You're a great catch." Thought it was cute and fitting!
Thanks for stopping by!!!

As Promised....

I'm very sorry that I haven't posted anything in a while.  I feel like I have been neglectful....to my crafting and myself!  I don't work that many hours, but I guess it's the fact that I really don't get to rest much when I'm at work.  I get to work with the infants and we all know how that can be.  But to make up for my neglect I have posted 2 cards.  This first card I started a while ago and just never finished it.  I was going to post it for one of My Pink Stamper's challenges.  But I just never finished the task.  So here it is now and I think it's pretty cute.
Recipe:
- Cartridge: Indie Art - Ice cream cone at 5.25" welded together with my Gypsy.
- Card stock: SU - browns; CTMH - white daisy
- Glitter: CTMH - Prisma Glitter
- Pearls: Kaiser (to look like chocolate sprinkles)
- The inside I used white printer paper and cut out 2 ice cream cone shapes so that they could write a message. Those were cut at 4.75".

This card I started yesterday and finished this morning.  At 7am....why, you ask?  I had to drop off my hubby at work at 530am this morning.  I came back home to get a little more sleep and it took me a minute to actually fall back asleep.  Then he calls me at 7am to tell me that I have to let him in the house, bc he's lost his keys AGAIN!!!  Or so we thought.....He used a key ring that I told him wasn't really secure and should probably find a better one.  But of course he doesn't listen to me and the key ring opened up.  Luckily, he found his car key and the house key had fallen off in the car and I found it.  Dork!

Anyway....LoL!  This card I found in Card Maker magazine.  I thought it was super cute and wanted to try it out.  It's altered a little bit, bc I don't have punches or the flower stamps they asked for.  The flower pot is starts out as a 4.5" x 9" card stock folded in half.  Then you use a template to cut out the flower pot shape with the base being at the fold.  Put tape on the inside edges on the left and right to create a pocket.  Then you cut a 3.5" x 1.75" piece of card stock for the top rim of the flower pot.  Here is suggests you use a decorative punch for the rim border.  I used my cuttle bug, bc I don't have any punches.  Use ribbon as shown.  Next cut a 2.25"x4.25" white card stock and ink the edges and glue onto a colored piece of card stock at 2.5"x4.5".  I cut my flowers with my Cricut using the Gypsy Wanderings cartridge.  I cut the two smaller ones at 2.5" in height and one big one at 4" in height.  This cut has two flowers.  I used the top flower so I could create the layer of purples.  I attached the big flower directly to the card insert and for the two smaller flowers, I used pop dots to create the 3D effect.  I colored my leaves with markers, but you can also cut those with the same cartridge.  I can't remember what cartridges I used to cut the "hugs" tag.  There were two different once.  But all you need is an oval at 1-3/4" x 7/8" and a scalloped oval slightly bigger.  I also used purple stickles on the center of the flowers.  I think it turned out pretty cute!

Now I'm off to get my hair done!!!  :)

Snow day...gotta love um!

Today I was supposed to go to work, but THANKS to the snow I got a free day off with pay!!!  ALWAYS welcome!  Hehe!  I was sick pretty much all weekend and into Monday and Tuesday.  So I also had Monday and Tuesday off from work, although I don't get paid and they were not fun days.  This is also the reason I haven't posted anything in a while.  I am hoping to have some new stuff up this evening or tomorrow.  I finally finished and mailed off all my cards that were ordered.  So I get to do something a little different.

Today was spent working on my website for my cards....Cards By LaLa....People keep asking me about it and all I had was a facebook page.  Apparently that didn't suffice.  I, therefore, made a website.  Hopefully folks will be happy with that!  Check it out if you want.  Feedback is welcome!  I don't have a clue how to make a website.  This site seemed fairly easy to use.

Thanks for being patient with me!

So sorry that I haven't been around since Thursday.  Things got a little busy over the weekend and I started my job on Monday.  I only work 5 hrs a day, but for some reason I feel very drained once I get home.  I forced myself to keep creating.  I did so for a couple reasons....I still owe my grandmother cards and I don't want to waste all this scrapbooking stuff that I have!!!  My husband wouldn't be too happy with me!  Plus I just love it too much!!!
